Mt. Carmel UAME Church’s mission is to change the lives of our brothers and sisters in need through the power of Christ and the word of God. We will attempt to achieve this using the tools given to us by God such as: prayer, fasting and showing the love of Jesus Christ. God promises in St. Matthew Chapter 11 verses 28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowey in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
We currently service the physical needs of the community through our Food Bank ministry and a seasonal clothing drive. Future plans include a soup kitchen and providing clean water and food to our brother and sisters in foreign countries. St. Matthew Chapter 25 verses 34-36 state Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungered and ye gave me meat:I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in: Naked and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison and ye came unto me.

St. Luke Chapter 13 verses 34 and 35 state O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gather thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
